BELIEFS

The Bible At We Believe Kingdom Church, our faith is firmly rooted in the authority of the Bible. These core beliefs guide everything we do. God There is only one true God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things, perfectly loving, holy, and just. God the Father We worship God the Father as the First Person of the Trinity. He is the eternal source of all that exists, the ultimate authority, and the one who chose to redeem humanity through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. God The Son We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, was physically resurrected, and ascended to heaven. He is the only way to the Father! God The Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is fully God, who lives in every believer from the moment they trust in Jesus. He is our Comforter, Guide, and Teacher, empowering us to live a life that honors God and equipping us with spiritual gifts to serve His Kingdom. Spiritual Gifts We believe the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to every believer for the purpose of building up the Church and serving others. These gifts are active and essential today, helping us serve, teach, lead, and operate in power as we carry out God’s mission in the St. Louis area. Humanity & Sin Every person is created in God’s image, reflecting His glory. However, through the original sin of Adam, all humanity inherited a sinful nature. We have all chosen to go our own way and have fallen short of God’s perfect standard. This inherited separation requires God’s loving intervention and restoration. Baptism We practice full immersion baptism as a public declaration of a believer’s faith in Jesus Christ. We identify with His death, burial, and resurrection, marking the beginning of a new life. We administer baptism in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, according to the command of Christ. Salvation Salvation—being made right with God—is a free gift, received solely through faith in Jesus Christ, not by any works or effort of our own. When we repent of our sin and believe in Jesus, we are forgiven and welcomed into God’s eternal family. The Church The Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers, and we express this community locally as a place of worship, fellowship, and mission (like our outreach in St. Louis). We exist to glorify God and share the good news of Jesus with the world. The Return of Christ We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to earth one day. This blessed hope motivates us to live holy lives and faithfully carry out the work He has given us until He comes.
