OUR MISSION
St. Philip Baptist Church... Standing on the Precipice, balanced on the Rock, a church on the edge of Spiritual challenge, stepping out by Faith.
MISSION: The St. Philip Baptist Church is a congregational family who has purposed their collective and individual lives to fulfill the “Great Commission” for our Lord Christ Jesus until He returns by focusing on Him as “The Word of God” and surrendering our lives to His command through the guidance of the “Holy Ghost.”

THE GENERAL VISION OF THE ST. PHILIP BAPTIST CHURCH, 402 S. NEW MEXICO DRIVE, CELINA, TX 75009
MISSION: Matthew 28:18-20… “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.—NIV
PURPOSE: To fulfill the “Great Commission” of the Lord Christ Jesus until He returns by focusing on Him as (the Word of God) and surrendering our lives to His command through the guidance of the Holy Ghost as He teaches us and guides us to practice the Word of God. NOTE: Revelation 19:13… declares of Christ Jesus that: “His name is “The Word of God.”
MOTTO: The St. Philip Church—Baptist… “STANDING on the PRECIPICE balanced on the ROCK, a church on the edge of SPIRITUAL challenge stepping out by FAITH.”
VISION: “Focusing On Christ to Meet the Needs of People”
The St. Philip Church is a church with a vision “Focusing On Christ to Meet the Needs of People” and plenty of room to grow. If your are ready for a challenge then may be St. Philip Church is where you ought to be. Extending the Word of the Lord beyond the modest walls of our present place of worship is the on going challenge of the future of this congregation.
The St. Philip Church is a Southern Baptist denomination congregation that understands that the teaching and practice of biblical doctrine is most important. The practice of the statutes and commandments of Christ Jesus must be preeminent in all Christian living. The only denominational guideline of importance is the Word of God. Any traditional Baptist doctrine that does not measure up to the biblical mandate of the Lord Christ Jesus’ teaching is excluded from teaching and encouraged practice.
If you think that St. Philip may be the congregation for you first prayerfully submit this possibility to Christ. If he gives you peace concerning this matter, come and take a closer look at us through the process of our member class and Life School. Anytime during or following the completion of the member class you may determine that this is not the congregation for you, that’s ok. What is important is that this experience may help you determine what you are really looking for and you will have some new brothers and sisters praying for your welfare and spiritual growth.
