New Life Gordonsville's mission or purpose as a church comes from Jesus two greatest teachings.
“THE GREAT COMMISSION” and “THE GREAT COMMANDMENT”
The Great Commission is:
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.Matthew 28:19-20
The Great Commandment is:
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37,39
These two commands are the foundation of New Life Gordonsville’s mission. Everything we do is designed to help us carry out the mission God has given us. The vision of New Life Gordonsville was born out of our mission.
