Our Mission
New Life of Rocky Mount is a Christ centered, charismatic church dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 19-20) and the Great Commandment (John 13: 34,35) in and around the Rocky Mount area.
Our local church mission is to follow the pattern outlined for us in Acts 1:8.
Jesus said that we should be witnesses first in:
1. Jerusalem - our local city and the community in and around Rocky Mount, Virginia.
Our mission is to reach those who reside in our hometown first and foremost.
2. Judea - the area surrounding Jerusalem
3. Samaria - represents a "cross-culture" ministry. We are in preparation to provide a bilingual service for this ministry.
4. The Uttermost - foreign missions.

As escapees from NJ, we took about two years looking for a new home church. We felt the loving environment at New Life of Rocky Mount from the moment we meet them in the Rocky Mount YMCA. Pastor Tim and his wife, Teresa, made us city folk feel very welcome.

We value the spiritually lost. We understand that one of the main reasons we exist as a church is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the unsaved and the unchurched. Our motivation is that we absolutely believe that there’s an eternal heaven to gain and a hell to shun. We believe that lost people matter to God, thus they matter to us.
We value the TRANSFORMED LIFE! The good news is that Jesus Christ accepts us AS WE ARE, but the great news is that He doesn’t leave us that way. Change through Jesus Christ is fundamental to our faith and hope. Only Christ brings permanent change and transformation to a person’s life. People need to be reclaimed, redeemed, reconciled, restored, revived and renewed.
We value a consistent Christian lifestyle. A Christian is to be CHRIST-LIKE in word, action, and deed. Joy and victory lies in the fact that we as believers can live a life that is pleasing to the Father.
