Church of God in Christ

The Church of God in Christ is a Pentecostal Holiness church formed in 1897 by a former Baptist member and is considered to be the largest African-American Pentecostal church in the US. They are governed by executive, legislative and judicial bodies. The denomination believes in both traditional Protestant traditions and Pentecostal beliefs such as repentance, regeneration, justification, sanctification, speaking in tongues, the gift of healing, and the sanctification work of the Holy Spirit.
